The United States was put in such precarious position by Trump, he actually forced himself into a box and had no other choice but to remove the sanctions on Russian oil. This is very pitiful in how poorly the White House planned the attack on Iran. It looks like very little future planning took place here. The attacks on Iran and the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz forced the United States to remove the sanctions on Russian Oil and this in turn has benefited the Russians whether Trump liked it or not. Trump outsmarted himself and it benefited Vladimir Putin and strengthened Russia economically and also militarily, so all the work done in Ukraine by the US the last 4 years will now be going up in smoke. Lots of money, soldiers, and time wasted in Ukraine.
