Trump signs Executive Order to Ban Flag Burning and Punish The Act with 1 year in Jail

Trump makes a cheap attempt to ban flag burning and override the 1st Amendment by saying you cannot burn the US Flag. At the end of the day, the Flag is a piece of cloth, and the Supreme Court has ruled on this issue already and have protected it as a 1st Amendment Right. The 1st Amendment wasn't just designed to protect popular speech and expressions, it was also designed to protect UNPOPULAR speech and expressions as well, and Flag Burning could be put into that category. You don't have to agree with flag burning, but you should defend the right to do it if you wish to continue to have a Free Society. What good is having the Flag remain when the Constitution is burning from actions like this that strip your rights away? Look at the reasoning behind Trump's argument, he claims it's because it might incite a riot, well, didn't he attempt to incite a riot on January 6th and lured his supporters to Washington DC over his 2020 Election loss? In addition, if someone is burning the flag and your reaction is to riot, then maybe you're the problem, not the flag burner.
