Trump's 2013 Shutdown Statement during Obama's Time

Trump states that it's a mark on the Presidency when a Government Shutdown happens. This was prior to his 1st term during the Obama years and it only went on for about 16 days. It's ironic, because as of now in 2025, it was under Trump when the country experienced its two longest Government Shutdowns in recent history. In 2018 - 2019, the Government shut down lasted 35 days during Trump's 1st term in office, and now in his second term in office, it took place again in 2025 and exceeded the record of the 2018 - 2019 shut down as it went on for 42 days.
