Dan Bongino's behavior is NOT strange, Dan Bongino, is, was, and always has been a plant. He's a full-on Trump Shill. He went into the Administration claiming he would expose Jeffrey Epstein's death and when given the chance to do so when he was inside the Trump Administration, he covered up everything and claimed there was nothing to see and that the Government gave us the real story. You see, Bongino's role was to gain your trust for while and then stab you in the back and say, "ok, nothing to see here," which is what a Plant does. It was all a big head fake. It's like putting a 9/11 truther in charge of investigating 9/11 and then that same guy comes out and says, "sorry, I was wrong, there's nothing to see here, the official story was true and I was wrong."
